1. 7th Fleet Adjusts Efforts in Support of MH370 Search

    USS Kidd (DDG 100) will proceed to the Strait of Malacca to continue its assistance with the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon will join the effort later this week, U.S. 7th Fleet announced March 13.

  2. McCampbell Joins JMSDF in Ishinomaki for Commemorative Visit

    USS McCampbell (DDG 85) and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer JS Takanami (DD 110) are visiting Ishinomaki, Japan, in remembrance of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami and to pay homage to those who lost their lives and the many more who were displaced on March 11, 2011.

  3. Seventh Fleet Continues Search for Malaysian Airlines MH370

    The search effort continued for a third day March 11, with USS Kidd (DDG 100) and USS Pinckney (DDG 91) searching sections of the Gulf of Thailand, while a P-3C Orion flew missions there and over the Strait of Malacca.

  4. Littoral Combat Ship USS Coronado Arrives in San Diego

    The ship arrived at its new homeport of San Diego March 10, a few weeks ahead of her commissioning ceremony scheduled for April 5 at Naval Air Station North Island.

  5. USS Kidd Joins USS Pinckney in Flight MH370 Search Effort

    The guided-missile destroyer brings the same capabilities as Pinckney with its two MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopters. A P-3C Orion remains on station, flying from Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

  6. U.S. Navy Continues Malaysia Airlines Search Effort

    A U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter from USS Pinckney (DDG 91) was expected to have about 10 and a half hours of search coverage in the Gulf of Thailand March 10 as a P-3C Orion aircraft searches an area west of Malaysia in the Strait of Malacca.

  7. U.S. Navy Ships visit Republic of Korea Ahead of Foal Eagle

    Four ships arrived in ports across the Republic of Korea (ROK) March 8 in preparation for the upcoming Foal Eagle exercises with the ROK navy.

  8. USS Pinckney, P-3C Aircraft to Assist in Malaysian Air Search

    The guided-missile destroyer is en route to the southern coast of Vietnam to aid in the search efforts of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. A P-3C Orion aircraft will also assist.

  9. HMCS Protecteur, Crew Arrive Safely to Pearl Harbor

    Protecteur, USS Chosin (CG 65) and USNS Sioux (T-ATF-175) arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam March 6 following recovery efforts led by the U.S. Navy after a fire aboard the Canadian ship last week.
