1. USS Green Bay to Replace USS Denver in Japan

    The Navy announced today that the amphibious transport dock ship, one of its newest, will forward-deploy to Sasebo, Japan, in February 2015, demonstrating the United States' commitment to the defense of Japan and the security and stability of the vital Asia-Pacific.

  3. Curtis Wilbur, John S. McCain Visit Tomakomai for Snow Festival

    The guided-missile destroyers arrived in Tomakomai, Japan, Feb. 4, for a goodwill port visit during the annual Sapporo Snow Festival.

  4. USS Kidd Completes OMSI Mission with U.S. Coast Guard

    The guided-missile destroyer's crew supported the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) with the U.S. Coast Guard's 14th District, Jan. 7 to Feb. 2 in the Western Pacific.
