1. Olympia visits Singapore during Western Pacific Deployment

    The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Olympia (SSN 717) arrived at Changi Naval Station, Singapore Feb. 2 for a visit as part of her deployment to the Western Pacific.

  2. Shiloh visits Republic of Korea for Aegis Interoperability Event

    Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) capable Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) arrived in Busan Jan. 30 for a port visit to conduct military to military exchanges.

  4. Grounded USS Guardian To Be Dismantled

    After running aground on Tubbataha Reef near the Philippines, the Navy has determined that the 23-year old USS Guardian (MCM 5) will be dismantled and safely removed from the reef in sections.

  5. USS Albuquerque Departs for Six-Month Deployment

    USS Albuquerque (SSN 706) departed from Naval Base Point Loma Jan. 29 for a six-month Western Pacific deployment.

  7. USS Tortuga Sailors, 31st MEU Marines Complete AIT

  8. Navy Removes Harmful Material from Grounded USS Guardian

    A team of U.S. Navy salvage experts have been meticulously scouring the damaged USS Guardian (MCM 5), safely transferring anything deemed potentially harmful to prepare the grounded ship to be removed from Tubbataha Reef.

  9. NMCB 5 Builds School, Relationships in Exercise Cobra Gold 2013

    Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand to begin construction of a schoolhouse at the Ban Piang Rat School Jan. 19. The Seabees are working alongside the Royal Thai Air Force to complete the project as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2013.
