1. U.S., Philippine Navies Join for 17th CARAT Exercise

    Three U.S. Navy ships arrived in Puerto Princesa, June 28, to launch CARAT Philippines.

  2. Germantown Embarks 31st MEU, Prepares for Talisman Sabre

    The forward-deployed dock landing ship completed on loading more than 450 Marines and Sailors assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit June 27 in preparation for exercise Talisman Saber 2011.

  3. Puerto Princesa City Director Tours USS Guardian

    The crew USS Guardian (MCM 5) invited Officials from the Puerto Princesa City Police to tour the ship June 27, as a gesture of thanks for the support and hospitality the City has shown visiting U.S. Sailors.

    Several ships from the Navy and Coast Guard cruised to Alaska to participate in the two week exercise Northern Edge.

  7. U.S., Philippine Navies to Join for CARAT Exercise in Palawan

    Three U.S. Navy ships will arrive in the Philippines June 28 to launch the 17th Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines. USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), USS Howard (DDG 83), and USNS Safeguard (T-ARS 50) will take part.

    SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 22, 2011) Philippine Navy commandos board USNS Safeguard (T-ARS 50) during a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercise in support of Southeast Asia Cooperation and Training (SEACAT) 2011. SEACAT is a series of VBSS training exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to enhance relationships and adapt to evolving maritime threats.
