Partner Nation

Australia has participated in Pacific Partnership from its start. This year, the Australian Defense Force is represented by 12 engineering personnel, a dental hygienist, a public affairs officer and a civil military support officer for the entire mission and will be augmented with a medical officer in Kiribati. This year, the Australian Defense Force is represented by 2 teams of 12 engineering personnel, a dental hygienist, and a civil military support officer and augmented by a medical officer in Kiribati and a public affairs officer in Samoa, Tonga and Kiribati.
Canada has participated in Pacific Partnership from its start. This year, Canada is sending two teams of two (a dentist and a dental technician) for the entire mission.
International Aid
Chile returns for its second year supporting Pacific Partnership, sending one general practice doctor to the Solomon Islands.
France is sending two engineers to Solomon Islands, in its first year participating in Pacific Partnership.
International Relief
Japan is participating in its third Pacific Partnership, sending a medical doctor and a dentist to Samoa.

The Republic of Korea is participating in its third Pacific Partnership, sending one dermatologist to Solomon Islands, Kiribati and the Marshall Islands.
New Zealand is participating in its second Pacific Partnership, sending two engineers and a first aid trainer to Samoa and Tonga.
Singapore has participated in Pacific Partnership from its start and is sending a paramedic and a family physician to Tonga this year.
This is Tonga’s first year supporting Pacific Partnership. The Tonga Defense Services is sending 22 engineers prior to the USNS Richard E. Byrd’s arrival with the mission staff to do three school roofing projects originally scheduled for this year’s mission. Additionally, five engineers and five Marines will work with Pacific Partnership mission personnel at various sites in Tonga.
