The Interagency Drinking Water System Team (IDWST) validated test results from the drinking water distribution system flushing for the Aliamanu Military Reservation, and they meet the criteria to proceed with home flushing.

The U.S. Navy released system flushing data validated by the Interagency Drinking Water System Team (IDWST) for the Pearl City Peninsula (Zone A1) today.

To ensure greater transparency, and provide clear, understandable information to the public, the Interagency Drinking Water System Team (IDWST) has updated its process for releasing testing results for the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) drinking water system.

Teams began flushing the drinking water distribution system lines to the first of 19 neighborhood zones on Dec. 20, 2021 and have now completed the initial flushing.

The validated testing information was released in coordination with the Interagency Drinking Water System Team. As previously reported, the area coded “zone H2” did not meet the standards for safe drinking water.

The process is intended to provide residents with a more complete understanding of the steps to reach an amended health advisory.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms have delayed the flushing of water supply lines and homes.

The U.S. Navy completed flushing system water lines at the Pearl City Peninsula military housing neighborhood, Dec. 22. Samples were sent to the mainland for testing and, pending results expected back next week, workers will move on to flushing individual Pearl City Peninsula homes.

The flushing of water lines at the Pearl City Peninsula military housing neighborhood will begin Dec. 20 in accordance with the Drinking Water Distribution System Recovery Plan.

The plan represents the first step toward restoring safe drinking water to JBPHH military housing communities.

Agencies are working together to restore access to safe drinking water to JBPHH housing communities.

The Navy has posted cumulative test results of samples taken since Nov. 29 throughout its water distribution system.

Military and civilians registered with CNIC housing department at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam who are now living in off-site temporary housing while water services are being restored to affected housing could be asked to move to a new hotel or a new hotel room.
