  2. Initial Japan-based CVW-5 jet squadrons fly-in to MCAS Iwakuni

    The first jet squadrons from Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 arrived in Iwakuni, Nov. 28, as part of a phased relocation from Naval Air Facility Atsugi.

  3. USS John S. McCain departs Subic Bay en route to Yokosuka

  4. USS Ronald Reagan holds memorial service at sea

  6. Nimitz Carrier Strike Group arrives in Hawaii

    The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group arrived in Pearl Harbor Nov. 25 following a six-month deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet and 7th Fleet areas of operation.

  7. Navy identifies Sailors lost in C-2A crash

    Lt. Steven Combs, Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Equipment) Airman Matthew Chialastri and Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Apprentice Bryan Grosso were lost in a C-2A Greyhound crash Wednesday.

  9. USS Illinois arrives in Pearl Harbor

  10. Search ends for Sailors in C-2A crash

    During the course of two days, seven U.S. Navy and JMSDF ships, three helicopter squadrons and maritime patrol aircraft covered nearly 1,000 square nautical miles in the search for the missing Sailors.
