Rear Admiral Gary G. Montalvo

Gary Montalvo, a Santurce, Puerto Rico native and U.S. Naval Academy graduate, earned MBAs from George Washington University and MAs from Regent University. He completed the MIT Seminar XXI Fellow.
As a Submariner he commanded USS NORTH CAROLINA (SSN-777) and Submarine Development Squadron FIVE. He deployed to the Western Pacific, European Theater, Southern Command Theater, and completed five strategic deterrent patrols.
His shore duty included COMUSNAVSO, OPNAV, Naval Reactors, U.S. Pacific Fleet, PCOI for Submarine Force Pacific Fleet, Program Analyst at OSD, and as PERS 42/N133. He most recently served as Executive Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
He serves as the Director of Maritime Headquarters and Sustainment at U.S. Pacific Fleet.
