PACIFIC OCEAN (May 23, 2021) Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Omaha (LCS 12) transits the Pacific Ocean during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser (T-AO 187) and amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), May 23. Essex and Omaha are underway as part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) conducting integrated training with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) off the coast of southern California.
