IWO TO, Japan (June 17, 2019) The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Sugashima-class minesweeper JS Toyoshima (MSC 685) participates in IWOTO 2019. IWOTO 2019 is one of the largest live mine countermeasures exercises conducted in the entire world, providing personnel with the opportunity to conduct contact charges and FMRs against real mines without sensor packages.
