PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 16, 2021) The Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Kansas City (LCS 22) transits the Pacific Ocean during routine operations at sea. Kansas City is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate near the shore against 21st-century coastal threats.
