TOKYO BAY (March 10, 2022) A small boat team from Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Utility Landing Ship JS Yusotei 2-go (LCU 2002) retrieve a torpedo following the first torpedo exercise conducted by a U.S. Navy squadron alongside the JMSDF. HSM-77 is attached to Commander, Task Force 70 and forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
