SAGAMI WAN, Japan (Nov. 7, 2022) Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Adm. M. Shaheen Iqbal, Chief of Naval Staff for the Bangladesh Navy, underway on the Japanese destroyer JS Izumo (DDH-183) for the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force led International Fleet Review. The leaders met to reaffirm the partnership between Bangladesh and the United States and to discuss maritime matters of mutual interest while building confidence and trust in the ability to work together for a free and open Indo-Pacific.
