221209-N-YG104-0014 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (December 09, 2022) Adm. Samuel Paparo (right), Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, receives a tour from Maj. Keyanna Spears, the Commander of the 36th Mission Support Group, Detachment 1 Diego Garcia. During his visit Paparo engaged with members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, the Royal Navy, and Royal Marines from the United Kingdom, as well as civilians, and contractors who support the installation. The site visit was an opportunity to learn how the U.S. Pacific Fleet can best support personnel assigned, while also maximizing strategic output.
