USS America (LHA 6) Conducts Flight Operations with USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5)

240730-N-SW005-1097 PHILIPPINE SEA (July 30, 2024) A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element (ACE) taxies on USS Green Bay’s (LPD 20) flight deck while operating alongside USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5) during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) drill with Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in the Philippine Sea, July 30. Miguel Keith, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, are underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
