VP-16 conducts preflight checks for Sea Dragon flight

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam (March 9, 2025) – Aviation Electrician’s Mate 2nd Class (AE2) Armando Francomendoza conducts preflight checks with pilots assigned to Commander, Task Force 72 aboard a P-8A Poseidon from the “War Eagles” of Patrol Squadron (VP) 16 during Exercise Sea Dragon 2025. Sea Dragon is a U.S.-led, multinational exercise focused on anti-submarine warfare tactics, enhancing interoperability among participating forces. Now in its seventh year, Sea Dragon 25 brings together Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) communities from the Australian Air Force (RAAF), Indian Navy (IN), Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN), and the United States Navy to address maritime security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
