USS Preble conducts CWIS download in North Pacific Ocean

NORTH PACIFIC OCEAN (May 7, 2025) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Joseph Ard, from Kileen, Texas, conducts an ammunition download after a close-in weapon system (CIWS) exercise aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) in the North Pacific Ocean, May 7. The Preble is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
