USS America conducts flight ops in Philippine Sea

PHILIPPINE SEA (May 27, 2025) Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class Dominick Donley, from San Jacinto, California, performs maintenance on an MH-60S Seahawk from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 while a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element (ACE) lands on the flight deck of the USS America (LHA 6) while conducting flight operations in the Philippine Sea, May 27. The America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
