USS Ralph Johnson returns to Yokosuka

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114) transits Truman Bay as it prepares to return to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, July 31. The Ralph Johnson Sailors completed a seventh-month underway period conducting both routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and critical defense of U.S. strategic locations in the Indian Ocean. The Ralph Johnson is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
