USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee pulls into Diego Garcia

DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (Oct. 10, 2025) Sailors assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG 123) raise the Union Jack and heave mooring lines on the fo’c’sle during a sea-and-anchor evolution while pulling into U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia for a scheduled port visit, Oct. 10. NSF Diego Garcia’s mission is to provide critical support to U.S. and allied forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean, while supporting multi-theater forces operating in the CENTCOM, AFRICOM, EUCOM and PACOM areas of responsibilities in support of overseas contingency operations.
