The Philippines and the U.S. Conduct Bilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity

251210-N-KW492-1165 South China Sea (Dec. 10, 2025) – U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon, assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 45, executes a low-altitude flyover as U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) steams in formation with Philippine Navy Jose Rizal-class frigate BRP Jose Rizal (FF 150) in the South China Sea, Dec. 10. Within the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, Commander, Task Force (CTF) 76 is responsible for conducting expeditionary warfare operations with Navy and Marine Corps capabilities to support theater contingencies that range from crisis response to full combat operations.
