U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Marc Miguez, commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet, delivers remarks during the Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet change of command ceremony on board Naval Base Point Loma, Calif., July 20, 2026. During the ceremony, which was presided over by Adm. Stephen Koehler, commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Miguez relieved Rear Adm. Richard Meyer as commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet. An integral part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the region and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary to execute our Navy's role across the full spectrum of military operations – from combat operations to humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
