A Palaun civilian mariner aboard the tug boat SSC Tanchall monitors the list and trim of the abandoned derelict vessel “Justice 1” while it is towed out to sea during a Pacific Partnership 2026 salvage operation in Koror, Palau, Aug. 30, 2026. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region.
