RIMPAC 2026 comes to a successful conclusion

The biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, the world’s largest combined and joint maritime exercise successfully concluded, July 31.
U.S. and Partner Nations conduct SINKEX during RIMPAC 26

Ships and aircraft participating in exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 conducted a planned, live-fire sinking exercise (SINKEX) and sank decommissioned USS Mobile Bay (CG 53), July 12, 2026, and decommissioned USS Peleliu (LHA 5), July 17. Mobile Bay and Peleliu were sunk in waters 15,000 feet deep, more than 50 nautical miles off the northern coast of the island of Kauai.
MSC Ships Provide Logistics Support During RIMPAC 2026

In the bright, blue waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands, Military Sealift Command (MSC) Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ships are providing the fuel, supplies, and sustainment that keep the world's largest international maritime exercise underway.
