Captain Andrew N. Corey

Capt. Andrew N. Corey is director, intelligence and information operations (N2/N39), U.S. Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor. He was commissioned as a special duty intelligence ensign in June 1994.

His previous tour was as the information warfare commander for Commander, Carrier Strike Group 9, embarked on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). As the information warfare commander, he directed the information warfare capabilities across eight ships and the carrier air wing. Command tours include commanding officer of U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS), Naples, Italy and the Joint Targets Squadron, Joint Special Operations Command Intelligence Brigade, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Corey’s operational/sea tours include director of intelligence (N2) at Naval Special Warfare Development Group in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he deployed as intelligence director (J2) for a joint task force conducting counterterrorism operations. He also served operational tours with U.S. 6th Fleet in both Naples, Italy and Lisbon, Portugal; SEAL Team 3 in Coronado, California, including three deployments to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility; and USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) in Yokosuka, Japan.

Corey’s staff/shore tours include the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia where he was the military representative to the Counter Proliferation Center; U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk; two separate tours with U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain; and U.S. European Command special duty in Mons, Belgium.

Corey holds a B.S. in economics from Santa Clara University. He earned a M.A. in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College, where he graduated with highest distinction.
