LEMOORE, Calif. (July 15, 2020) An F/A-18E Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 86 loaded with a Mark 63 Quickstrike mine flies in support of a mine countermeasure exercise led by Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) as part of U.S. 3rd Fleet's Trident Warrior exercise. Trident Warrior, in its 18th year of execution, is an annual U.S. 3rd Fleet at-sea field experiment that helps the Navy identify warfighting capability gaps and provides inventive solutions in an operational environment.
