190606-N-DX615-1057 PORTLAND, Ore. (June 6, 2019) The littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2) passes the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91) before mooring in Portland. Both ships are visiting for Portland Fleet Week, a time-honored celebration of the sea services and provides an opportunity for the citizens of Oregon to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services.
