MANILA, Philippines (March 17, 2019) Sailors aboard the Avenger class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14) prepare to render honors to U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) while arriving in Manila, Philippines, for a port visit. Chief is visiting Manila while operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to work with their Philippine Navy counterparts to strengthen regional security and stability, and enhance interoperability.
