171002-N-KK081-165 SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 2, 2017) Seabees assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, unload a medium tactical vehicle replacement from Landing Craft Utility 1635, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 1, onto the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during Fleet Week San Francisco 2017. Fleet weeks provide an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard team and experience America's sea services. Fleet Week San Francisco will highlight naval personnel, equipment, technology and capabilities with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
