161117-N-NT265-431 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Nov. 17, 2016) Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85) ride a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) while participating in a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training exercise with the Royal Brunei Navy ship KDB Darussalam during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2016. CARAT is a series of annual maritime exercises between the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations to include Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste.
