Amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), steams alongside Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Canberra-class landing helicopter dock ship HMAS Canberra (L02), Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans (LPD 18), Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Takanami-class destroyer JS Makinami (DD 112) and RAN Anzac-class frigate HMAS Ballarat (FFH 155) conduct maritime maneuvers during the U.S.-led Large Scale Global Exercise 21. LSGE 21 is global command and control exercise, with a regional focus, to enhance integration of the U.S., allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
