USS Green Bay conducts Small Boat Operations in Support of Super Garuda Shield 2024

EAST JAVA, INDONESIA (September 3, 2024) Sailors assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) pull alongside the Indonesian ship, KRI Frans Kaisiepo (368), in a Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat during Super Garuda Shield. These operations were conducted to transport personnel to and from the KRI FKO-368. Super Garuda Shield is an annual exercise that has significantly grown in scope and size since 2009. Super Garuda Shield 2024 is the third consecutive time this exercise has grown into a combined and joint event, focused on commitment to partnership and a free and open Indo-Pacific.
